The company has customers in all of the restaurant segments including: Fine Dining, Casual Dining, Family Dining, Fast Casual, Quick Serve, & Snack. Restaurant365’s customer base is also structurally diverse with Independents, Franchisors, Franchisees (of major brands), CPA Firms, and bookkeeping services.
The customer base continues to grow rapidly with multi-unit businesses of each type and kind as the word of achieving greater back-office productivity is getting out.
The Driving Force – Back Office Productivity, Insight, & Control
Until Restaurant365 came around, the landscape of back-office restaurant software entirely consisted of taking the ‘Best-of-Breed’ approach. This meant having one solution for your accounting, another for catering, another for inventory, another for tracking franchisees, and another for tracking labor, etc.
Companies were stuck trying to put a patchwork of solutions together that ultimately were helpful within their sphere but created significant outside work trying to keep them up to date and in sync with each other. This is a summation of the landscape of restaurant software in 2010. It was under these circumstances that Restaurant365 was formed.
Back Office Productivity – Restaurant365 consolidates many of the systems mentioned above (including many spreadsheets) into a single software solution. Essentially unifying your organization. By doing this, you eliminate all of the work associated with exporting/importing data from one system to another along with any effort needed to reconcile the data between two systems.
Actionable Insight (i.e. great reporting) – Secondly, when multiple departments are pulling data from the same source, all effort needed to keep separate systems up to date is eliminated thereby making needed information instantly available.
Tight Control (Cash, Time, Inventory) – And third, when monitoring your most perishable assets (a person’s time, inventory, & cash), a shared system becomes an invaluable measuring stick and monitor to ensure that leakage and waste is eliminated.
